To understand the magnitude of this transformation, we need to delve into its core functionalities and the profound impact it has on our intellectual landscape.

The Power of Gen AI

Gen AI operates on two fundamental principles: analytical and logical thinking, often associated with the left brain, and the ability to create across multiple platforms, which taps into the right brain. This dual capability enables Gen AI to interact with humans at an astonishingly high level of intelligence.

Currently, Gen AI models like ChatGPT 4.5 boast an IQ of 155, rivaling intellectual giants like Elon Musk (IQ 155) and approaching the estimated IQ of Einstein (around 161). Moreover, AI’s intelligence doubles approximately every 5 to 6 months. This exponential growth suggests that in the near future, we will be interacting with AI possessing IQs close to 1,000—ten times that of today’s most brilliant minds.

The Incomparable Speed of AI Evolution

Given that the average human IQ ranges between 80 and 120, it becomes clear that competing with AI on cognitive tasks is futile. However, this realization should not incite panic. Instead, it invites us to reflect on historical parallels. During the agricultural era, human labor was replaced by machinery that was far stronger than we were. Just as tractors and factories revolutionized physical labor, Gen AI is transforming intellectual tasks.

Embracing Human Brilliance

As AI continues to evolve, humans are compelled to elevate their own capabilities. In the future, industries will diverge into two distinct categories:

1. AI-Driven Sectors: These will include businesses like restaurants operated entirely by AI chefs and waiters, which, due to automation, will offer services at increasingly lower costs.
2. Human-Centric Sectors: Here, human involvement will be a premium feature. Restaurants with human chefs and waitstaff will provide unique, personalized experiences at a higher price.

The key to thriving in this new landscape is distinguishing oneself through exceptional talent and continuous evolution. Mediocrity will no longer suffice, as those who fail to evolve will be unable to compete with AI.
