The Formula to Make Creative Courage a Seamless Process

So many people are caught up in the idea of being courageous. But what does it actually take to be courageous? And more importantly, how do we become smartly courageous? Because there’s a difference between courage and being reckless.
Sometimes we act from pure gut instinct without the structure to support it. What I’m interested in is how we cultivate courage consciously.
It Starts With Curiosity
The equation begins with curiosity.
When we become deeply curious about a topic, something innate inside us awakens. From a very young age, curiosity drives us. When we lean into it, diving deep into a subject becomes effortless. We explore it with enthusiasm because it genuinely interests us.
Curiosity makes depth natural.
Curiosity Turns Into Excitement
As we research and explore, something shifts.
We start to become excited about the information. The more we learn, the more confident we feel. Slowly, almost without noticing, we begin to develop a level of specialisation. We know more about this topic than most people around us, and that’s when courage starts to emerge.
Because now we can stand up and speak about it. We can write about it. We can share it. We can build something around it. The courage isn’t forced. It grows from knowledge and immersion.
Curiosity leads to excitement, excitement leads to specialisation, and specialisation leads to courage.
What is the Role of Curiosity?
Your curiosity is your unique signature in this world.
I’ve spoken before about greatness. Greatness is tapping into your genius and then adding that genius to the fabric of humanity. What else would greatness be?
We want the world we are moving into, the world our kids will inherit, to be better than the one we are currently in. And that only happens when we tap into our genius and bring it into the world.
Courage is the bridge. It’s the opportunity to step out of your comfort zone, to move beyond what is familiar, and to trust that there is something guiding you toward expansion.
But it always follows the same equation: curiosity, excitement, specialisation, courage.
How Can We Live the Equation?
My move to Dubai was exactly that.
I had to figure out the basics. Where do I buy groceries? How do I get water delivered to my apartment? Do I go buy it? Do I order it? These small things are uncomfortable. They stretch me.
And this is the point. We grow through the uncomfortable moments, but they must be led by curiosity and excitement, not fear.
When curiosity pulls you forward, excitement energises you, knowledge strengthens you, and courage becomes the natural next step.
That’s the equation. Curiosity. Excitement. Specialisation. Courage.
That’s how we expand.
